09 Apr You’re Nervous? Relax. So is everyone else.
Hello to all of you out there that are a newbie, first timer, and slightly terrified.
I want to address your concerns, but please know that your concerns are everybody’s concerns.
It’s not unique to come to receive an appointment for the first time and be nervous, have anxiety or be slightly terrified.
I honor you for your courage and your willingness to try something new and outside of your comfort zone. I honor your curiosity and whatever is going on in your life that has inspired you to take this step and explore receiving this kind of experience. And I want to help you to be assured that what you’re exploring is safe, and I want to help you to reduce your anxieties, and perhaps answer a few of your questions.
With that in mind, here are some of the common questions / concerns / comments that I receive from newbies – and my responses.
“Aren’t you scared of inviting new clients into your home? Aren’t your other clients creeps?”
First and foremost, I never view any new person or potential new client as a “creep”. The word “creep” is meaningless in my worldview. Every person is a unique human being.
I view every new client as a new person to get to know, a new opportunity to listen and develop compassion, a new story that helps me understand the human condition better, a new person to get to give unconditional attention and touch to.
Because I approach my work with a professional mindset, I am here to show up fully for each individual client and let go of my own personal preferences. My sessions aren’t about me. They are about serving the needs of my clients, and cultivating my attention to be in service to each unique individual.
I believe it is the duty of each type of healing service provider – whether an Acupuncturist, a Doctor, a Licensed Massage Therapist, or an Erotic Bodyworker – to give their work and their cultivated skill-set and wisdom to each person that comes through their door. Being in service to the needs of the client means that we serve each person, regardless of our personal preferences.
Does that mean that sometimes I work with clients that make me feel uncomfortable? Sure! That has totally happened. I would be lying if I said that I had effortless experiences with every single person who comes to receive my work. Obviously there are a multitude of experiences, and that comes down to connection, comfort, intellectual & energetic chemistry – or the lack thereof.
But regardless, I offer my work from a place of service, because I believe that holistic erotic healing work is needed in our culture, and this is my gift, and I am in service through my work.
“Is your work legal? Is this legit?”
Unfortunately, we don’t live in Europe. The kind of work that I do is something that you can go to a high end spa in Zurich and receive. But there are no above ground businesses or storefronts for the kind of work that I do. Which is why most practitioners of this kind of work, work from home and maintain anonymity and discretion.
The legitimacy of my work is rooted in a lifetime of experience, 18 years practicing holistic healing arts modalities, with extensive training and practice. I offer my work with skill, care, cleanliness and good time management. I want your experience to be as safe, comfortable, relaxing and reassuring as possible.
My space has been created and maintained to be beautiful, clean, tidy, welcoming, inviting and an environment of serenity for you to let go in. That is my priority.
You might not be able to get a session of this nature in a public storefront yet, but I’m hoping that in the next 10 to 20 years, this kind of work will be publicly accessible and legitimized the way that the Marijuana industry has transformed the last few years.
